When it Rains

When it rains . . .

It’s a week before wedding day, and you start checking the weather. Sunny skies and 75 but there it is a small rain percentage chance. So, you check again. Low and behold, the rain chance is increasing. You keep checking and keep checking and sure enough, it’s going to rain on your wedding day. Panic. Unless you’ve picked a venue that has a great backup plan.

At Cross Creek Ranch, we have a backup plan and a backup to a backup plan. Whether its raining, cold, or just too hot, we’ve got you covered. Literally. When you tour with us, we will walk you through the logistics of each setting, and best- and worst-case scenarios for wedding day weather.

Our arbor location is a definite favorite of our couples and its always the desired outcome for the dreamed about ceremony location to be the one that works out on wedding day. But the pavilion can be equally as dreamy, equally as beautiful and maybe even more intimate than the arbor or the cabin. A clouded sky and a quiet hush of the drizzle of rain on the tin roof gives off a cozy feel and shuts out the noise of the world as you make a commitment to forever to your spouse to be. Our log cabin is also lends a gorgeous backdrop to say “I do” in front of, especially when it’s a little chilly outside so the fireplace is set inside. Yes, staff will flip the room after the vows are exchanged, but with the bar immediately opening after the ceremony, your guests will hardly notice the 10 minute room flip that takes place after the ceremony has concluded.

If you’ve added floral décor to any of the ceremony areas, the good news is, with enough time to move the ceremony, we can rework the logistics behind any floral design and still have it be the enhancement you wanted it to be. (and adding greenery to the fireplace, is always a good backup plan AND it still looks stunning for your reception)

Just remember, even though it might rain, “If at the end of the day you’re married to the one you love, then everything went perfectly!” Contact us today to start the planning process!
